The wonderfully talented Christoph Niemann should give himself a very large pat on the back. As if running the NYC Marathon isn’t achievement enough he attempted (and succeeded) live-illustrating it at the same time. Drawing with good old pen and paper he snapped and tweeted it all out to the world real time.

Last week The Design Ark and The Type Foundry challenged you to a 6 word story. Inspired by Ernest Hemingway who, in the 1920′s, was challenged by his colleagues to write a complete story in just six words. Here’s a reminder of the prizes that were up for grabs:
1st - 5 typefaces for desktop use + a ‘large’ subscription to use the typefaces online for a year.
2nd - 3 typefaces for desktop use + a ‘medium’ subscription to use the typefaces online for a year.
3rd - 1 typeface for desktop use + a ‘small’ subscription to use the typefaces online for a year.
1st – Pass the bucket, we’re sinking (Clare Doran)
2nd - Last man on earth: seeks wife (Laura McCabe)
3rd - Panther like, the night swallowed him (Jules Young)
High Fives to all who submitted wonderful stories.
