Furniture Found

Great project from Sascha Mombartz entitled Furniture Found featuring pieces built from discarded objects that were found in New York City between December 2011 and February 2012.

The feeling of finding something, something special. An unusual object, in an unexpected place. It is the excitement that makes it beautiful, the potential that makes it practical, the elimination of wastefulness that makes it a reinvention. Conserving the past and the mystery of an unknown thing, reveals a glimpse into its story. One that is hard to decipher by itself, but put together creates a story of its own.
