War Lighters

A collection of original Zippo lighters from marines during the Vietnam war (1957-1975).

Coming across these custom engraved zippo lighters belonging to U.S. Army members in the war does not suggest anything different. The crude slogans carved into the crusty lighters are telling of the brash, careless attitude necessary to slog through the troubles of warfare and fears of premature death. Each lighter packs humor, fear, and attitude into one complex phrase that smells like war to us.
