Walking on the Walls, street art from Norwegian artist Anders Gjennestad.

Street artists JR and José Parlá recently teamed up to create enormous portraits of senior citizens who survived the Cuban Revolution (1953-1959). It’s a continuation of a series called The Wrinkles of the City that JR started in Cartegena, Spain and that was recreated in Shanghai and Los Angeles. Amazing.

The Street Hands project is a collaboration between Spanish artists Octavi Serra, Mateu Targa, Daniel Llugany and Pau Garcia who created the site specific installations as commentary on Spain’s political and economic climate. The plaster cast hands are placed throughout the city reminding passerby’s that uncertainty, danger and turmoil could be right around the corner unless they do something about it.

In China public trees have been transforming into beautiful works of art thanks to 23-year-old art student Wang Yue. Wonderful.
