Based in Mexico, Masiosare Studio aim for functional and accessible design. Flaca, which is Spanish for skinny, is a lamp they designed that meets both of those goals.It is an extremely lightweight lamp made from a single piece of laser-cut stainless steel, which means very little waste. The piece is easy to assemble in just five steps and requires no tools other than your bare hands. The LED light sticks permanently to the lamp with tape and requires only 6 watts, which is 10% of today’s regular bulbs. The lamp is adjustable in height and ships flat packed in 100% recyclable cardboard. Clever.

Users can hold their iPhone or Android camera to hundreds of London streets, sights and landmarks and receive detailed images on what they’re looking at in decades gone by. Want to see what Carnaby Street looked like at the height of its fame? Streetmuseum can show you. Interested in the grimy wharfs of Victorian London? Hold up Streetmuseum and the plush media offices decay into aged filth.
